I still remember the day I turned 28 - it was my birthday, but also the day I launched my business, driven by a passion to help others find safe, effective, and sustainable products.
My journey began a few years prior, in my mid-twenties, when I started experiencing allergic reactions to everyday products like laundry detergent and scented lotions. Red, itchy skin and constant discomfort became my new normal. Desperate for a solution, I embarked on a quest to find products that wouldn't irritate my skin. But, I quickly realized that navigating the complex world of product ingredients and labels was overwhelming. I struggled to find trustworthy brands that shared my values. That's when I decided to take matters into my own hands - literally! I began crafting my own products, using natural ingredients and essential oils.
It was empowering to have control over what went into the products I used daily. However, I soon realized that making everything myself wasn't sustainable. That's when I discovered a community of like-minded individuals searching for non-toxic, eco-friendly alternatives. I knew I wasn't alone!
This realization sparked an idea - what if I shared my own handmade products, alongside curated finds from companies that prioritize clean ingredients, sustainability, and social responsibility? And so, on my 28th birthday, Slice of Green was born. It's been an incredible journey, connecting with customers who share my values and passion for living a more natural, crunchy lifestyle.
